  • Dr. B. Purevsuren, Academy of Sciences, Ulaan Baatar-Mongolia: one year stage at the Universities of Rome and Genoa to study block copolymers. He now heads the Chemistry Institute of the Academy.
  • Dr. C. Larez, University of Los Andes, Merida-Venezuela: two year stage at the University of Rome to study polysaccharides.
  • Dr. T. Wangdu, Central Tibetan Administration: one year stage at the University of Trento to study surface physics.
  • Dr. N.N. Chavan, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune-India: participated to a five year project on Composite Materials defined by the Foundation and supported by the European Union with the cooperation of Universities in Chile and Europe.


Theoretical Physics

  • Prof. O. Lhagva, National Mongolian University: advanced courses at the International Center for Theoretical Physics in Trieste.


Supramulecular Science

  • Dr. S. Nematov, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan: four months at the Institute of Biophisycs - CNR, Milan, to study the fluorescence behavior of photo synthetic complexes.


Molecular Biology

  • Dr. F. Morales , Universidad de Costa Rica: short stage and continuing cooperation with the Institute of Biophysics - CNR , Genoa, to study mechanisms of genetic diseases in costarican myotonic patients.


Textiles

  • Dr. N. Tumenjargal, President of Montex Co., Ulaan Baatar-Mongolia: enrolled to the Textile Management Program at the North Carolina State University, Raleigh - NC.
  • Mrs. J. Manara, textile designer from Buenos Aires: a semester study at the College of Textiles, NCSU, Raleigh - NC.


Water Resources

  • Drs. N. Undrakh and S. Enkhtuul, Academy of Science of Mongolia: one year stage at the University of Trento and the University of Genoa to study water purification technology.
  • Ing. R. Ponciano, S. Carlos University - Guatemala obtained a Master Degree on water treatments at the University of Genoa.


Alternative Energies

  • Ing. Hesler Acevedo and Dr. P. Ordonez, S. Carlos University - Guatemala, respectively: a semester at the Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, to study photovoltaic system design, and a semester at Piedmont Biofuels and North Carolina State University to study biodiesel energy.
  • Dr. M. Toropov, Kyrgyz-Russian University, Bishkek - Kyrgyzstan: one year stage at the University of Trento to study sediment transport for hydroelectric generation.

Development Economy

  • Dr. S. Lkhanyan, Trade Union University, Ulaan Baatar - Mongolia: one year stage at the University of Trento, Department of Economics, to study Agricultural Turism on the basis of a joint program with the Foundation.

  • Drs. M. Lepessova, A. K. Jazybaeva, L. Tacebaeva and R. Abedimova, Medical State University, Almaty-Kazakhstan: each spent a semester specializing respectively on special diagnostic techniques, clinical practice, child epilepsy, EEG techniques, at the University of Rome 2.
  • Prof. J. Gramajo, the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Guatemala: one month at the University of Roma 2 (Tor Vergata) to elaborate a book on the interpretation of electroencephalograms, followed by one month stage at the University of Roma1- La Sapienza to study epilepsy.
  • Dr. Yana Akhurina, Medical University, Almaty, Kazakhstan: Three months stage at the University La Sapienza, with prof. O. Bruni and at the NEUROMED Center in Pozzilli-Isernia with prof. G. Di Gennaro, to study Child epilepsy.
  • Dr. Lyazzat Baigaziyeva, Mother and Child Hospital, Kazakhstan: three months stage at the Bambino Gesù Hospital to study pediatric neurology with prof. F. Vigevano.
  • Dr. Alisa Nyruzbaeva from the Kazak National Center for Mathernity and Child Care performed a three month stage at the Neurological Unit of the Bambin Gesù Hospital in Rome to study diagnosis and treatment of patients affected by different types of epilepsy.
  • Dr. Assel Abilkhadirova, neurologist, Research Center for Maternal and Child Health
    Pediatric Neurologist, Kazakhstan. Three months stage at La Sapienza University,
    Department of Human Neuroscience, Child and Psychiatry, Rome, under the
    supervision of Prof. Vincenzo Leuzzi.


Cardiology

  • Dr. L. Erdenechimeg, National Institute of Medicine, Ulaan Baatar-Mongolia: a semester at three different hospitals in Rome specializing in Doppler and colour echocardiography in addition to management and treatment of heart failure.
  • Dr. B. Tobayakhova , Research Institute of Technology Almaty-Kazakhstan: three months to specialize in artherial hypertension at the University La Sapienza in Rome.
  • Dr. Z. Turdiyeva, Kazakh National Medical University Almaty, Kazakhstan: three months to specialize on endovascular surgery at La Sapienza University in Rome.


Infectious Diseases

  • Dr. R. Rabagliati, Catholic University, Santiago, Chile: two years at the Institute of Infectious Diseases of the Gemelli Hospital in Rome. He is now Vice-Director of the Catholic University Hospital, publishing and lecturing extensively on Infectious Diseases.
  • Dr. A. Tokayeva, Infection Deseases Center, Semey City-Kazakhstan: three months stage at Gemelli Hospital in Rome.


Nephrology

  • Dr. S. Baterdene, General Hospital State Special Staff, Ulaan Baatar - Mongolia: one year at Pertini State Hospital in Rome to perform clinical practice in nephrology followed by support for completing Ph.D. studies at the Russian Medical Academy, Moscow.


Liver Transplant

  • Drs. A. Zhumadilov and A. Mirzhakypov, Kazakh National Medical University: three months on anesthesiology and surgery practice at the University La Sapienza in Rome.
  • Dr. A. Nurlan: three months on advanced liver transplantation and the planning of a joint Kazakh-Italy anesthesiology-surgery center.


Oncology

  • Dr. G. Kidyrbayeva, Kazakh Institute of Oncology: three months at the Regina Elena Institute in Rome specializing in neck and head tumors.
  • Dr. U. Utelbayeva , Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology, Almaty-Kazakhstan: three months to specialize in gastrointestinal oncology at the Regina Elena Institute in Rome.


Allergology

  • Dr. T. Nurpeisov, Research Institute of Internal Diseases, Almaty-Kazakhstan: three months to specialize in bronchial asthma, drug allergy at the University La Sapienza in Rome.


Surgery

  • Prof. V. Mierbekov, Drs. I. Illaladinov and V. Mutagirov, National Center of Surgery, Kazakhstan: three month stage to specialize in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology and reanimation at the University La Sapienza and Hospital Bambin Gesù in Rome.
  • Dr. Z. Turdiyeva, Kazakh National Medical University, Almaty, Kazakhstan: three months with prof. F. Fedele, La Sapienza University to study endovascular surgery.


Urology

  • Dr. A. Asubayev, and S. Shalekenov, National Medical University, Almaty-Kazakhstan: three month stage to specialize in andrology at the University La Sapienza in Rome.


Sense Organs

  • Dr. A. Galyieva, Republic Diagnostic Center Astana-Kazakhstan: three month stage to specialize in hear losses in children at the University La Sapienza and Bambin Gesù Hospital in Rome.
  • Dr. A. Kudaibergenova, from the Audiology and Otorhinolaryngology Unit of the National Medical Hospital in Astana, Kazakhstan: a three-month grant to study Pediatric Audiology and Cochlear Implantation at the Department of Sense Organs at La Sapienza University in Rome.


Radiology

  • Drs. D. Baiguissova and Dr. M. Izzanov, Medical University Almaty- Kazakhstan: each three month stage at the University La Sapienza in Rome to specialize on the radiological analyses of liver transplantation and beam diagnosis in head and abdomen respectively.


Ginecology

  • Dr. Nadine Nikenyi Ibwaye, Centre de formacion et d’Appui Sanitaire- Monkole Congo: three month stage at the University of Siena to study diagnostic ultrasound in obstetrics and ginecology.
  • Dr.D. Seisembekov, President Affairs Hospital, Kazakhstan: three month stage at the Policlinico Gemelli, Catholic University in Rome to study laparoscopic ginecology.

Genetics

  • Dr. Harem Abdalla Awrahaman,University of Suleimany, Iraq: three months stage at Ospedale S. Camillo, La Sapienza University, to study cytogenetic with prof. P. Grammatico.
  • Dr. Dina Zhanatayeva,from the Kazak National Center for Mathernity and Child Care performed a three-months stage at La Sapienza University and at the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome to study medical genetics.
